Bleecker Street Pizza’s authentic Tuscan thin-crust pizza is a family tradition, passed down through generations. It has been served in the family’s home for four generations, and fond memories of Grandma Nonna Maria’s delectable pizza inspired the owner to bring the recipe to America. Nonna left her birthplace of Tuscany at age nineteen, bringing with her the family recipe for the mouthwatering pizza she claimed was the reason her husband married her.
The tantalizing aroma and sublime flavor are brought to you all the way from Tuscany, and Bleecker Street Pizza hopes Nonna’s pizza will bring the same enjoyment to New York City that it brought to her family for generations.
The Nonna Maria
The Grandma
The House Special Pie
Eggplant Parmigiana
Baked Ziti
Generous House Salad
Pizza is always good but Its the chicken wings that make Bleecker outstanding.

forgot my soda, also forgot to put the ingredients into my calzone. boo!

Ridiculously overpriced for what it offers. Yes, the pizza was good, but it was certainly not worth over 30 bucks.

good pizza but SOOOOOO SLOW

The baked ziti arrived 45 minutes late, but it was freshly made, hot, and quite good.

I am the new office manager (been here 3 months) for a company withh about 50 employees. In this time I have been credited with many positive accomplishments. The one thing that got me the most recognition was when I was asked to order food for an all hands meeting. I Ordered An asssortment of pies, heros etc. from Bleecker Street Pizza. My boss and the entire office couldn't stop raving about the pizza, the sauce, the cheese, the heros, even the salad. I have to say that the Nonna Maria pie (that's their version of fresh mozz pie) was probably the best pizza I have ever eaten. While the food was astonishingly good it still annoys Ordering from Bleecker Sreet Pizza seems to have gotten me more credit than any of my many contributions to the company.

The first time I had the Nonna Marie specialty, that was, hands down, the best pizza I ever had. The next couple times however, having both Nonna Marie, and several regular pies, the pizza was OK, but for the most part, wasn't great PARTICULARLY because the crust was way too hard (I like a thin crust that is flexible.). One time I got the Nonna Marie and it was hard as a rock. I don't want to bash them really because I do like this pizzeria. Everytime I've been there, the regular slices are great, just it seems like delivery is a gamble. And it can be disappointing when it's not as hoped for, because this is the place I treat myself to when I feel I deserve a reward. So when they get it right, the Nonna Marie is one of the best pizzas you'll ever eat, but beware. I guess you're best bet is to eat it there, or make special note to be careful not to over-harden the crust. Also, microwaving the slice might help make it softer should you encounter this dilemma, I'm not sure, haven't tried it. Last, I would love it they delivered pizza by the slice.

Never got my food delivered

Without any doubt, I give this place 5 stars. The food was EPIC to say the least and the entire transaction was seamless ;)
Posted 2 months ago by Kyle K.
Pizza crust is like a white cracker - not doughy or tasty. And the mozzarella is not quality. On the plus side, the marinara sauce is chunky and good.

Decent at best. Chicken wings were bad.

Perfect pizza! Get the Nonna Maria!
Posted 5 months ago by Julia N.
Bleecker Street Pizza has a well-deserved rep for having awesome pizza ! Their best pizza is the Nonna Maria - there is almost always a few knowledgable people hanging around their counter waiting patiently and hungrily for the next fresh Nona Maria to come out of the oven. Every time we take friends and / or family here for their first time they immediatey know why we love living here. If you give this place a try it won't be long before you will be dran back to Bleecker Street Pizza again !

The first time we ordered from here, the pizza was great, but they forgot a topping. They sent a new one immediately (so four stars). Tonight, the pizza crust tasted like it had been sitting in the window, reheated, and then reheated once more before we got it. Cardboard (1.5 stars). Three stars between the two deliveries, but given tonight's, we may not be back.

I ordered a chicken parm hero, and made a note in the notest section, asking them to keep it light on marinara sauce.... When it arrived, it was probably the most inedible eggplant parm I've ever seen, soggy in marinara sauce. Don't waste your time with these guys.

I am a (self proclaimed) pizza connoisseur and a real professional chef. Bleecker Street Pizza has become my favorite place to eat. I don't heap praise on a food establishment easily but the pizza here is nothing short of amazing! The crust is thin, crisp and perfect. The sauce is old world and to die for. This pizza shop is using authentic Parmigiano-Reggiano on thier pizza. Any time I want to show off N.Y. pizza to my out of town family or this is where I order from. TIP: It's all great but my favorite is the Nona Maria fresh mozz pie. PIZZA PIZZA PIZZA

Best pizza in NYC. Crispy crust pizza with a great tomato sauce.
Posted 7 months ago by Jordan M.
Really surprisingly bad pizza. The tomato sauce tastes really strange. I ordered from here twice just to make sure it wasn't just bad once. Too bad John's isn't on Seamless. John's blows this place away.

The office I work in orders from Bleecker Street Pizza every week and it's a highlight of the workweek for us ! The Nona Maria pie , which has home-made marinara sauce and fresh basil, is my personal favorite. The guys are most tempted by the marinated grilled chicken and the pepperoni pizzas. The trays of fresh house salad make lunch healthy. My boss is in love with the plain pie - he claims it's magical how they make it so good. Visitors to our office on pizza day always ask if we can order the same NEXT time they visit. As our office's event planner , I know what we order from Bleecker Street Pizza will be a monster hit!

Not the best pizza in NYC. But one of the best pizzas within a five block radius.
Posted 9 months ago by Mattias W.
This pizza is shockingly bad. I would give the place zero stars if I could. The pizza was so soggy I couldn't even eat it. The owners must be giving this place 5 stars because no one else would.

Great pizza
Posted 9 months ago by John D.
i wish the crust was thinner, but the cheese, sauce and toppings are very fresh and tasty.
Posted 9 months ago by rachel a.
We have given this place a number of chances... and at best we find it medicore. More often than not there is not enough cheese on the pies and they are either overdone or underdone. There are too many really great pizza places around here, even within just a one block radius of Bleeker (with much more reasonable pricing).. pass this one by.

Pizza is really good when it shows up on time. 2 out of the 3 times we ordered from them it has taken a phone call ~45 min after the order was placed to get them to tell me that it's leaving in a minute. The first time I called (second time we ordered) I telephoned and the fellow I spoke with gave me a straight quick answer about the time the pie left the store. He then gave me his name and said if I had any problem to call back and they'll make it right. The personal touch was nice, but they guy I talked to today (order #3) was reasonably rude. Then to top it all we got the wrong pie. We ordered eggplant and spinach and got eggplant broccoli olives and mushroom. Bottom line: Stop the bus, we're getting off.

Good pizza. Would order from them again. And again. And again. We ordered both the plain cheese and the nonni's. I think I prefer the cheese.
Posted 10 months ago by Christine Z.
The Nona Maria Pie (fresh mozzarella) and Pepperoni pie are to die for but everything is excellent. They deliver in the middle of the snow storms and even at 4:00 am on weekends. My favorite place period.
Posted 11 months ago by Franco C.
Updating my review. The margherita pizza was great, but the mushroom pie was completely tastely - I almost wonder if they forgot the marinara.

Pizza was one hour late. And they delivered the wrong pie. So, not great!

Great heros and my new only pizza place. If you think pizza is just pizza try their fresh mozz pie, it's the best pizza I ever had.

Ordered the Nonna Marie based on other customer reviews- delicious! Arrived promptly within the 45 minute time frame, fresh & piping hot. The cheese was still really gooey but I have no issue with them delivering it straight from the oven! I've also had the plain cheese pie with no complaints.

The Nonna Maria is really good but beware of an overly crispy crust! I love their Chicken Roll too however I've stopped ordering it because they never include the marinara for dipping! Its the best part! Even with notes in the special comment section of the order, calls to them and them telling me it was coming, even offering to pay extra but still nothing!! They can certainly do better!

The fresh mozzarella pie is heavenly, probably the best pizza I have ever had. My lady thinks the best is their cheese pie.

Ordered a pizza with an estimated delivery time of 30-45 mintues and its been 2 hours so far with no pizza. They have constantly lied about the pizza leaving already. Its good food, just too bad that they are completely unreliable. Order at your own risk.

This is some of the worst I have had. Just terrible on all levels. There are so many great pizza places, why torture us with this? And this BS Food Network endorsement? Just no way -

Delivery takes FOREVER. Not worth it. The pizza is kinda weird, sweet, crunchy, very red, didn't like it. The calzone on the otherhand was not too bad. Best pizza in NYC? That's laughable!

This restaurant never ever delivers on time. 30-45 minutes always ends up being 1 hour. Not worth the wait.
Posted a year ago by Matthew W.
it was ok. Garlic bread was yesterdays fresh bread. but hey. what do you expect. its a pizza place. The baked ziti was ok, but the noodles were too soft to pick up with a fork most of the time. Half of them the fork just slid through the noodle. I'd order from them again, but maybe I'd stick to the pizza.

If they deliver your order in less than an hour then the pizza/food is about room temp. They will forget your soda, meatballs, or any other extra and when you call back to ask for them not to charge you they will tell you you get a discount on your next order.... So doesn't really work on Seamless. I have ordered from them too many times and every time it's been upsetting... too bad the few times the food was warm it was good.

Once again, they sent the wrong food. The girl laughed and her biggest concern was whether she could recoup the meatball sub (I ordered chicken parm). Third time I have order blue cheese with salad and received Italian dressing. She said they dont have blue cheese. I said take it off the menu then. She checked. "Oh, maybe we do have blue cheese." I am sorry but don't reward bad behavior by supporting Bleecker Street Pizza.

The pizza was about 15 minutes late, but it was well worth the wait. The Nonna Maria pizza was a big hit, and I'll be ordering from them for all our future events. Update: Pizza came early, everyone was happy. Definitely going to order from them again.

Called after an hour to ask where my order was; they told me it wouldn't even go out for another half hour after that. Is melted cheese on bread really so complicated? There are so many other good pizza joints in the neighborhood, don't bother dealing with these guys.

This place is overrated...didn't get my order right when it finally came over an hour after I ordered it
Posted a year ago by Katherine L.
they never delivered the food and lied about it twice when i called to find out where my order was. I waited TWO hours. I tried to send a customer complaint to their website which also was returned because their email address isn't working. HORRIBLE customer service. AND AGAIN....THEY DIDN'T EVEN DELIVER MY ORDER! They have one star here because a rating is required to review.

The pizza was tasteless and as hard as the cardboard box it arrived in. The chicken roll was not what you would expect when ordering a chicken roll. It was made with lemon and parsley chicken and had no marinara sauce. The wings were dry. Everything tasted as if it had been sitting around for a few hours. Also, the food took 50 mins to arrive. Will not order again.

I am back living in the West Village (thank god) and friends kept telling me to skip Joe's and try Bleecker Street Pizza. It took a few months but I have to admit they were right. My new favorite pizza shop is definately Bleecker Street and my favorite slice is the fresh mozz, they call it the Nonna Maria, whatever. Best slice I have ever had, period.

The pizza was fine, nothing special. The onions I paid $3.00 for were forgotten from our pizza and the delivery came in 45 minutes not 15-30. The sausage sandwich I ordered came with mozzarella cheese and tomato sauce even though the cheese was not listed on the menu. There was way too much sauce resulting in a soggy mess that while somewhat tasty, was falling apart and impossible to pick up.

Ive tried most pizza places below 23rd street and Bleecker Street Pizza is definetely my favorite. Their signature pie , Nonna Maria is positively out of this world. All of the pizza types there are excellent or better. The dinners and the salads are top quality & plenty of food.

AWFUL delivery experience recently. 1.5 hours to bring me a tasteless mush backed ziti. Ordered the baked ziti cause it was a favorite dish. Just a waste of food. stick to the pizza.

As a native New Yorker I was extremely disappointed with this place. The order took nearly an hour to arrive and when it did the cheese had completely slid off the pizza! It was like eating pizza soup in a box. So very upset, I had heard good things about this place and as I am new to this neighborhood I can say I will look elsewhere for pizza. Extremely bummed, and will never order from this place again.

Bleeker Street is our favorite pizza place in the village. We order the Nonna Maria every Friday (Pizza Day!!). The sauce to cheese to crust ratio is perfect on this pizza. Their chicken rolls are also great, but make sure to ask for extra marinara sauce on the side. The sauce is really delicious and they give it to you free (if you call and ask nicely).
